Ibiza – that party wonder of the world – has slapped a new law onto its club owners, partiers, and citizens. Council passed a motion that will force all clubs and venues to close at 3 am. The law follows other efforts in the last year or two to deal with noise complaints and out-of-control behavior particularly in the infamous West End.
The area is almost totally populated by clubs and hotspots and is officially designated a Special Acoustic Protection Zone. Last year, council efforts at reducing noise complaints centered around limiting decibels. This year, they’ve gone a step further. Clubs must close by 3 am and open air venues must close by midnight.
