DJing is a lot of fun. It’s hard work, too. Practice, practice, practice. Promote, promote, promote. Then you have to deal with a moody crowd or pushy DJs in the line-up ahead or behind you.

You might think your job is to entertain the crowd. Your real job is to not tick off anyone. DJs can develop some bad habits, like bad attitude or sloppiness. It doesn’t even matter if they’ve been DJing for years or are just starting out. That cluelessness is going to cost you in the end.

So, if you want to be the best DJ ever, you need to make sure you don’t do these:

  • ignore the crowd
  • be late
  • redline the mixer
  • get drunk
