Has Technology Killed Creativity?
Who doesn’t love technology? Think of any technological invention from the printing press to computers to artificial intelligence. Technology usually makes our lives a whole lot easier … ok, except when your computer crashes and you want to take a sledgehammer to it.
Beyond the benefits, there are downsides to technology that most of us don’t really spend too much time considering. For instance, technology has put a lot of people out of work. Why hire ten people when all you need is one person operating a computer?
Creativity is another example. Some artists are pretty convinced that digital technology has dampened creativity. Do you think DJ software and better DJ equipment makes you less creative?
