Drake’s new “Hotline Bling” video has stirred the hearts and funny bones of dance lovers everywhere.
Coming in at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100, his single features an R&B feel that complements the tone of his lyrics – you know, all hurt and heartbreak. I actually really like the steel drum effects in the last minute or so of the song. A little reminiscent of a languid disco beat at first, the drum beat settles into a kind of swaying rhythm (picture yourself lying in a hammock on a beach of your choice). Drake also injects a bit of humor and genuine fun into his dance moves that will just endear him further to his already huge fan base.
