DJs On Tour – The Good, The Bad, And The Totally Weird
There’s a lot of speculation out there about what DJs are really like on tour. Most stories tell of wild parties, crazy antics, drinking, lots of drugs … a kind of live fast, die young lifestyle. But, seriously, is that what it’s really like?
Magnetic Magazine decided to enter the wilds of the touring machine to find out exactly what’s going on behind the scenes, and on stage, and anywhere DJs happen to gather.
Here’s what they found out: There are the party animals, like Diplo and Skrillex. There are the Hobbyists, like Deadmau5. Then there the riders where these DJs set out a whole list of strange demands.
And then there’s Paul van Dyk who seems to be in a category all his own.
