Celebrity lives are so interesting to follow because, in so many ways, they live so differently than we do in our own regular lives. They’re like aliens who try to live among us, but are still so inherently different as to be noticeable and identifiable the second you lay eyes on them. At the same time, they really do milk that difference, don’t they? Often to the point of entitlement: while California burned through a drought this summer, the Kardashians, the Smiths and so many others living at that echelon continued to ensure that their grass remained green and their swimming pools full.

BBC Worldwide (France) along with Canal+ have produced a documentary into the lives, thoughts, inspirations and workings of Daft Punk as a way to lend some insight into that question. This film examines why the duo that makes up Daft Punk wears masks; how the guys relate to fans, and what they think of fame and influence.
