This isn’t going to be news to most of you. We all know that vinyl sales have been going through the roof. And there are more than enough DJs out there willing to bend your ear about how turntablism is what real DJs are into.

Well, here’s the latest: turntables are outselling CDJs. The latest report (from May 2016) finds that turntables make up about 14% of the DJ technology market. CDJs make up only about 6.3%. Apparently, these numbers indicate an upward trend in the vinyl sales market.

The question on everyone’s mind, though, is whether this trend is sustainable. Do you really believe that DJs are going back to vinyl over digital (except for DJ controllers, which are still hugely popular)?
